Aleksandr Smirnov is a photographer living in Odessa, Ukraine that focuses in minimal landscape images. His compositions are built so that only the necessary elements are in the frame. Most of Smirnov’s photos related to the sea, visual minimalist images abstracted from the reality of everyday life.

Located on a small peninsula, the project site faces directly the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. The most interesting challenge for this project was to create a comfortable inside silence combined with a new openness atmosphere.

The setting-up of Résidence Jouanicot - Truillet by Leibar Seigneurin Architectes allows to set up of real “ between two ”, permeable but contained spaces, very clearly perceptible since the street giving to the set a fluid relation with its environment while protecting the intimacy and the quality of housing.
